Sugar

Hello,
Here are some news and a couple of pictures form our friends of the North who adopted the adorable Sugar. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is the closest one to the North Pole our shelter has ever placed.
Speaking of that, all went well except
from weather conditions, they made it there safely but very late in the evening. Arrival ceremony was short and sweet, everybody went for a walk, sniffing each other with hardly a growl. It was expected that the old grumpy pint-size resident would be the one to watch for. Took only a few hours the next morning to declare this one a total success. I include a few pictures, you can tell she is very well adapted to this new life, a soft cushion by the fireplace is really all they ask for to be happy. Especially with temperatures in the -25F like it was the very next night.
Mom is on top of the world, obviously, she was so nervous before, not knowing if she would be a good candidate. On the way back, she mentioned the language barrier was the only drawback of the day. She could feel Dorothy and her could be best friends if they could only connect more without poor me having to translate all the time. I reassured her that Dorothy could tell the kind of person she was and could only see good in it.
Let's hope they start a new trend in that remote but tightly knit community of Lac St-Jean. They would make an excellent point of contact for the region.
Many thanks on her behalf. Happy holiday season to all.
Pierre
